Westward Scania Special vehicles delivered for M6 road maintenance
N6 Operations Ltd, the company charged with maintaining the new M6 Motorway has recently taken delivery of three new special Scania trucks. The first three trucks were delivered in time for the opening of the M6 just before Christmas and will be used for winter and general motorway maintenance on the new M6 Motorway between Ballinasloe and Galway City. A fourth Scania will soon be delivered to complete the order.
The multi-wheeler Scanias have specialized equipment including a Palfinger crane by Palfinger Tullamore, Hoctor bodies by Pat Young of Templemore and demountable Romaquip salt spreaders and heavy duty snow ploughs for essential winter maintenance. Two of the trucks can be adapted for cone dispensing duties.
