The contestant who knows the most, drives most efficiently, and manoeuvres the vehicle best will be awarded a brand new Scania R-series truck – the ultimate truck for demanding professionals with an electro-hydraulic clutch, an industry first. It’s even equipped with Scania Driver Support, a system that helps you become an even better driver.
The winner of Young European Truck Driver 2010 receives a new Scania R-series truck at an approximate value of 100,000 euros. This includes a one-year vehicle insurance policy from Scania Insurance.
The runner-up is awarded a VIP weekend for two persons at the Le Mans 24-hour race. This prize is sponsored by the tyre manufacturer Michelin.
The third-place winner receives a VIP package for a DTM (Deutsche Tourenwagen Meisterschaft or German Touring Car Championships) weekend in Germany. This prize is sponsored by Volkswagen.
